Kaspin Sept 2013 Video and Pictures:) Sooo proud of my boy!!

Kaspin (RBI) Parelli progress video. Just a TINY amount of all the things Kaspin has learned since being with me! When I first got Kaspin about 2 years ago. Kaspin was scared of his own shadow(My chickenlinger, his nickname). It would take me 2 hours to get him into the scary barn, and 2 hours to walk him to the indoor arena. Kaspin had no halt, liked to drag people in his halter, had no canter, or left lead at 6 years old. He bucked sometimes when ridden prior to me owning him and bolted on line, while riding sometimes, and was horribly herd bound! Made me even super sad when Kaspin would sometimes go catatonic. Kaspin now is learning to canter and has a great left lead! Leads me to barn, through barn, and to the arena with confidence. Has never bucked a day with me!!!! Has stopped bolting and being herd bound! For the Parelli haters out there, I understand Parelli, and enjoy Parelli with all my heart!!! I now enjoy my confident Kaspin and love seeing Kaspin so calm and relaxed and never catatonic anymore!! I can only imagine our future as we get to be better partners yet! I so love you Kaspin and thanks for teaching me all about inner/core energy and how to handle it! These pictures below are from our Labor Day ride in the back 40 acres with a halter only. Thanks Chris for the awesome pictures!! This was my 1st time trusting Kaspin out back while riding with only a halter. Kaspin did super! I started with some fun in the outdoor arena and headed out back.

Left lead canter!! Yeah!!!

 Kaspin checking things out.
 On our way out back.
Hello from the 1st smaller hill.
 Just hanging out.
 Having fun!
 Nice bend:)
 Lets go over here.
 Hello from farther back:)

    1. Thanks! Yeah, I have done Parelli for 10 years. I just hate why people have to hate things, or be sooooo against things. That's why they're sooo many choices for the world. I wasn't thrilled about Double Dan but I don't hate them!! And I won't bash them. Or if a friend of mine loved them. I would so support my friend! Everyone is just trying to learn about their own pet. And that person has to do what works for the both of them:) Ok, I am off my soap box, LOL. Thanks again for the kind complements!!!!

    2. I'm still trying to accept this. I've seen things that DO work with Grayson and things that don't yet I still get swayed by other people. BUT last week some snooty guy at my barn tried to criticize what I was doing (clicker training) and I said "this is how we do it" and left it at that. I was proud! ha ha!

  3. You two are doing such wonderful things together. So glad you kept him, so exciting to see you becoming the team you never imagined. Have to say I'm a bit jealous as Camryn has been on vacation most of this riding season

    1. Awhh, that is a complement from you:) I didn't like the way it looked like I pointed the new direction every time in the figure 8, but I actually wasn't. I am just trying to manage the line so Kaspin won't cross it. I want to see if I can tape one that looks more like I am in neutral. Seems like Kaspin knows the falling leaf well also. I shouldn't use my stick so much, LOL. Hey, live and learn, correct. That is why taping helps us!! Thanks!!!!

  6. Amazing as always! You always inspire me to be awesome.

What's the one thing you think made the biggest difference with him? Just consistently working?

Like Kristen said, he's so fluid and happy! I love it!

PS this is Grayson's owner...I recently got married and haven't figured out if I can switch over the blog to my new address.

    1. Yes, more time with him. Sadly since I lost Enzo, of course Kaspin gets all the time now. Building majorly on his confidence since kaspin is so shy, timid, and scared of life, LOL. And understanding how to use my energy around him. I am an extrovert and he is introvert. My energy alone could scare him, so I have to treat him how he likes to be treated. I need to lower my core energy, move slower, and do things in patterns for him. I like high energy, move fast, and do many things at once. So you can see the major differences between us, LOL. Now I need to keep getting him out more and more so he learns the world, LOL. As I keep building on his confidence and trust in me. He will be happy to do anything with me:) Thanks!!! J9

    2. I tried to answer to your other comment. It wouldn't publish it??? Yeah, this weekend I had someone tell me I needed a HARSH bit if I were planning to take Kaspin my green-ish horse out trail riding!!! I just listened and ignored them. REALLY, a harsher bit, whatever, LOL!!! I just continue what makes us happy and Kaspin is the proof it is working:) Your horse can tell you:)
