Oh my! How you can shop and shop at Equine Affaire! If you have never been there I cannot even explain it all. But there was 1 building with rows and rows of horse venders! My limit was spending 150.00 dollars and I actually made it to the penny. But man!!! Did I have to bite my tongue and sometimes just keep walking! I could have spent soooooo much more money easily!!
Of course, my favorite booth was the Parelli booth. There site is www.parelli.com! I did purchase one of their new BLING t-shirts. Sooooo much more pretty in person than listed on thier web page. So now I had to have one and they had one in purple!! My favorite color!!
Another clinician booth was Double Dan horsemanship www.doubledanhorsemanship.com and I will post a video on another post. But they truly were amazing! Maybe you saw them on Australia got talent in 2011? Here is the video if you missed it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D3WGJ_wY6Zo&feature=fvst. I purchased 1 DVD!
Another clinician I saw and loved is Guy Mclean. Also from Australia and also amazing! Here is his site http://www.guymcleanusatour.com/. I purchased 1 DVD!!
This lady http://www.barbararush.com/taogallery.html had amazing work! So I really enjoyed walking around her booth. This lady I purchased a small metal Friesian horse also in purple colors for $16.00 dollars. I can try to get a photo later. But I had to have it! Friesian and purple, common! But man she also has some amazing work! http://www.estherbenedict.com/FREEDOMS_SPIRIT.htm I wish I had art talent!
Then at this booth I purchased this cool hat http://ecbiz119.inmotionhosting.com/~blackh22/?attachment_id=170 Her booth was Black Horse Creations started after her Friesian horse! She had the coolest clothes, hats, etc. I swear the pictures on her site don't give the clothes justice. It did look much better in person!! Loved it!!! Anyway, this was a list of some of my favorite this I saw while shopping at Equine Affaire!!
How much money did you spend at Equine Affaire or were you able to keep the pockets closed?? Janine
Ugh I spent way too much money! I bought a new blanket for $170 and spent over $100 at the parelli booth! But, other than that and tckets to get in I was able to say no to a few things I wanted!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you didn't too bad! And of course all very usable!!!
DeleteAll I bought was some hair moisturizer for Shy. I got a bunch of free stuff from Finish Line and other vendors.
ReplyDeleteWhat I really wanted was a bridle and breastcollar for Shy, but since her head is so goofy shaped I did not want to buy one I might not be able to use. And I was not sure what size breastcollar.I'll be ready next year, for sure!
Yeah, I didn't get any free stuff(so cool for you), I had no time! I hardly entered any drawings either. But I guess, there is next year!!!
DeleteLOL, you don't want to know!!! And hubs will never know for sure. I'd been stashing cash all year, plus my paycheck, plus...
ReplyDeleteBy the way shopping on Sun. is much more laidback AND at the end of the day you can find sales on stuff the vendors don't feel like packing to haul back
LOL, but you had fun!!! I don't have a husband. But I will keep that secret in mind, LOL. And maybe next year I can also be there on a Sunday?? Thanks!
DeleteI wish I would have bought a DVD from Guy Mclean I was absolutely blown away with his presentation at fantasia! I also fell in love with the Black Horse Clothing booth too! I have a black little egyptian arab (I decided her alter ego is a BIG Friesian) so of course I bought a shirt. haha
ReplyDeletePerhaps it is a good thing that Equine Affair was too far for me to travel to, without Hubby realizing I was gone.
ReplyDeleteHmmm. maybe next year we should do some sort of Equine Affair Blogger Destination get-together!
I didn't get to go so no spending here lol!! I'm glad you got so much cool stuff and didn't blow your budget. :D Wow that artwork is awesome!! I love it.
